Creating a Seasonal Intention

Can you already feel a new season approaching? Perhaps getting the kids back to school or the impending arrival of pumpkin spice lattes are letting you know change is on the horizon. Or, perhaps your body just naturally feels the upcoming shift in seasons.

One of the benefits of living in the Midwest is the gift of four seasons. While every season may not be your favorite, we can look to nature to give us cues on how to transition well during these shifts. With autumn approaching, you may begin to feel the need to cozy up more, choosing to snuggle in for quality time with loved ones as the days become shorter. You may feel energized and ready to tackle your to-do list, as autumn is the perfect time to get work done before the slower season of winter starts.

Take advantage of this month to prepare an intention for your life this autumn. Here are a few ideas to inspire you to create your own.

I will take one task at a time.

For those of us who feel overwhelmed with the seasonal transition and the additional responsibilities that can come with getting everyone in your family on a routine, this intention reminds you to slow down. One thing at a time, slowly but surely, makes progress.

I will find gratitude in this season.

For those of us who hate to see the carefree summer season go, this intention can remind you that there is always something to be thankful for, no matter the temperature outside.

I will find peace in nature.

The sticky and humid days of summer are on their way out, which means you can re-acquaint yourself with the outdoors in autumn. Spending time in nature unplugged can provide stress relief and feelings of peace – perfect for your busy schedule.

I will spend time on myself.

Selfcare is more than just a trending buzzword on Instagram. Spending time investing in your own emotional and mental wellbeing is crucial to your overall health.

I will work with someone I trust.

You can work on yourself and gain the closure or inspiration you need by working with Intuitive Mel Doerr. This autumn can be your moment of clarity and connection; schedule a session today.

Here’s to a lovely fall season!
