Your Guide to Integrating the Insight from Your Psychic Session

A psychic session can leave you with a lot to hold. You might get confirmation of something you’d sensed, or information that hasn’t fully landed yet, or a message from a loved one. You go home, real life resumes, and you find yourself wondering: now what?

The real work begins after a session.

Give It Time Before You Analyze

Resist the urge to immediately process everything. Your thinking mind will try to fit new information into existing frameworks and molds, and some of what you got may be pointing somewhere your ordinary thought patterns haven’t been able to reach. Sleep on it and give it a few days to percolate through your subconscious. You’ll often find that things clarify on their own.

Write It Down While It’s Fresh

Before details start to fade, capture everything you remember. Be specific about what was said, what images came up, and what the emotional quality was. What seems clear today can become ambiguous later, and things that seem obscure now sometimes snap into focus months down the road when your life catches up to what was offered.

Don’t Be Too Quick to Forget

Some things will resonate immediately, but others won’t. It’s tempting to use the pieces that missed to discount the ones that hit. Psychic information often works on a longer timeline than we expect. Something that seems off can become precisely accurate six months later when a situation develops that you weren’t aware of yet. Keep both lists and revisit them as time passes.

Identify What You’re Being Called to Act On

A session usually brings up one or two things asking for your attention. Identify them, then do something small (and do it soon). The point is to let the insight move through you into action rather than letting it pool and fade.

Know When to Return

Some people think that their session is a one-time thing. The better option is to return seasonally or at major life junctures. The relationship between a client and a skilled intuitive deepens over time. Don’t think of a session as something you used up. Think of it as something you’re building on.

A session gives you information. What you do with it determines the value. If you’re ready to book a session or return for a follow-up, schedule time with Mel Doerr here.
